Calendu-love blends combine local, organic flowers and herbs with local beeswax and organic oils to create literal skin food. Each small batch is slowly and intentionally processed without the use of chemicals or intense heat. All essences come directly from the plant and no concentrated essential oils are added to the mix, creating a gentle scent. The blooms and herbs are soaked in a blend of oils that are light on the skin, creating moisture and a protective barrier that isn't overly oily. My favorite places to be are in my body, in the lake, in the forest and in my garden.
I started growing Calendula a few years back and fell in love with its fragrance and beauty, later learning how powerful it was to use medicinally. I had always struggled to find lip balms and salves that were light, chemical free and actually worked to nourish my skin. I felt inspired to start making my own and followed my intuition. There have been many changes from the original blends I had created and through trial and error I have made some products that I truly love. The slow process of tending to the seeds, flowers and oils has brought me so much joy. I pour intention and love into everything I make with a deep reverence for the plants.
